When you work with B&D Plumbing, you can trust that we bring the latest in technological plumbing tools to the job. Video sewer inspection is a step above and beyond standard industry practice, but we hope that it will become the norm. We offer this service to our clients because it gives them a first-hand account of what is going on inside their pipes. Sometimes we meet customers who are at their wits’ (and budget’s) end due to repeated blockages in their sewer system.
- Identify sewer clogs
- Determine drain pipe health
- Locate valuables that went down the drain
During a video sewer inspection, we send a specialty waterproof video camera into your sewer lines. This process gains access to pipes that are underground, underneath foundations, or otherwise visually inaccessible. The pole to which the camera attaches is flexible, so the camera can access the entirety of the pipe, even around corners. This provides us and our clients with a clear view of the source of a problem. Whether your issue is a first-time anomaly or a recurring sewer blockage, the real-time video image transmission allows us to assess the health of the pipe and discover factors that might be impacting it. The videos can be saved for a permanent record, which will benefit you through the years.
A video camera leak search can also save you a significant amount of time and money because there is no guesswork involved. If the source of an interior leak is not readily visible, with real-time imaging we can find the problem quickly, and resolve it. No guesswork, no trial and error. It’s important to determine whether sewer issues are caused by product defects, which would require a prompt replacement (interlink Sewer and Drain Services), or an obstruction, such as tree roots.
If you are preparing to purchase a new home, a video inspection can also be a valuable part of the home inspection stage. While not included with a standard home inspection, we believe that inspecting your plumbing is just as important as other additional investments such as chimney and mold inspections. Especially if you are buying an older house, why not learn everything you can, while you can?
